The Auckland Patchworkers & Quilters Guild organises the making and distribution of quilts to worthy organisations in the community.
We receive donations of fabrics, blocks, quilts tops etc, and encourage members to do whichever part of the process they enjoy most. Some make tops, some quilt them, some bind them and some donate fabrics etc.
We usually manage to raise enough money to buy the rolls of batting, or else the Guild sponsors this.
It is very rewarding on Guild days when we show the beautiful quilts and see the smiles on the faces of the recipients.
